FCT POLICE COMMAND ARRESTS FIVE NOTORIOUS BANDITS, RECOVERS LARGE CACHE OF ARMS AND AMMUNITION. The FCT Police Command has tracked down and arrested five notorious and wanted banditry suspects and recovered arms and ammunition. This operation, which was led by the Commander Scorpion Squad, took place on the 20th September through 28th September 2025. The suspects are responsible for several kidnappings in the North Central, North West, and North East regions of the country, and have been on the wanted list of the Police and other security agencies. They were tracked to Nasarawa, where they were arrested. The suspects are: 1. Abdullahi Garuba a.k.a. Alhaji Ore, male, 40 years 2. Yusuf Inuwa a.k.a. Alhaji Dabunda, male, 59 years 3. On 15th September 2025, armed men attempted to abduct two young ladies in Kpobi and Kpaduma 3 Villages, Guzape District. The attackers used the victims as human shields in their bid to escape. On the 10th September, 2015 at about 0300hrs, the Divisional Police Officer, Bunza, received a credible intelligence that, a gang of unidentified hoodlums have criminally trespassed into the premises of the Government Girl Secondary School, along Dakingari road, Bunza. Acting promptly on the information, the DPO responded by mobilizing a combined team of Policemen and vigilantes to scene, where they met the suspects were using a chainsaw and other mechanical instruments in vandalizing the school transformer after removing the transformer nuts and disconnected the armored cable wires. On the 25th June, 2025 at about 2000hrs, one Maryam Atiku f aged 20 yrs of Nasarawa area Kamba, Dandi LGA of Kebbi State, delivered a newborn baby girl. Subsequently, the said Maryam tied her newborn baby with three pieces of wrappers around her neck, covered her mouth, conveyed the baby to Malam Yaro bush, dug a shallow hole and buried the baby alive. Fortunately, on the 26th June, 2025, at about 1230hrs, one Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad went to his farm located around Mallam Yaro village. While in the farm, he observed a disturbed patch of soil resembling a fresh grave. As a result, he raised an alarm which attracted the nearby people who rushed and assisted him in exhuming the baby alive.
